This will come as a surprise to no one, but back in boarding school, Pepito was in love with me. Well, when the boy next door lives in an EMBASSY, a girl gets curious. I finally had a change of heart and gave into the little bull fighter. Let me tell you, he’s not a bad hat in bed. At all.
His father was known for throwing lavish, over-the-top parties. Our ritual was to sneak in, steal champagne, get drunk and dance flamenco on the roof. Good times. One of the drinks that was served regularly was an amazing cocktail made with Spanish blood orange, the Sanguinello. It’s easy, gorgeous, absolutely delicious, and you will drink way too much.
Get yourself 1 ounce of Campari, 3/4 ounce of limoncello, 2 ounces of blood orange juice and toss it all in a cocktail shaker filled with ice. Shake-a-boom and strain onto fresh ice in a highball glass. If you’re feeling girly, put it in a cordial glass and throw on some heels and your reddest lips. Here’s to good fun and great memories.
Bisous,
Madeline
