Never be afraid to make a bold statement. Putting zebra hide on a 17th century settee is FUN, but as much as I love creating scene-stealers, here at le Château, I prefer things pared down. Calm. It gives me a break from the crazy pace of Paris and lets me rejuvenate, which is important. Just ask Kenny Rogers, and you’re not fooling anyone, Kenny.
I bought this little settee so I had a spot to sip my Chateau Margaux and think about other people’s plastic surgery. It was recovered it in a beautiful, soft smoky gray and I love its refined elegance. And gray is a fabulous color. I don’t care what Jonathan Adler says. His flame stitch gives me vertigo.
Fresh flowers are mandatory and talking is prohibited. It’s the most deliciously perfect spot to sit and unwind. Do you agree, mes fleurs?
Can we talk about:
Mickey Rourke
Barry Manilow
Bruce Jenner
Everybody just stop it.
